I love Taste of the Himalayas. It is arguably the best quality Indian food I've eaten in San Diego to date.
The Indian population are just charming people anyway, and when their food quality and customer service matches up, you just can't resist. You must not resist, because then you'll be missing out.
They don't skimp on ingredients or taste here. It also seems to me all their food is cooked to order here, because it arrives at your table so fresh.
Have you ever eaten somewhere so good it blew your mind? Have you ever eaten somewhere so amazing, you looked around and thought, this is like the best meal I've ever had, why is all of San Diego not breaking in trying to get a table?
That is my experience here, with their delectable Nawaratan Korma (Vegetarian Coconut Curry). The rice was so soft and fluffy, not a single grain stuck together. Maybe the chef is a wizard because the rice was perfection. The words I would use to describe the curry? Heavenly. GODDAMN HEAVENLY. It was legit the creamiest curry I've ever had. It was so good I inhaled the whole thing in minutes. I was scarfing down the food like a starving wolf. Oh my god, let me tell you, I was transported into a culinary wonderland.
My only regret from my meal at Taste of the Himalayas is that I ran out of time to eat my delicious leftovers!
This place has great service and tasty food.
The ambience is nice. They serve wine and beer.
My husband and I shared a few different plates and we loved them all.
It's nice to have something new and different in UTC.
We will be back again!
