I recommend visiting "Taste of the Himalayas" ⛰️ 🏔 🌄 Lunch special is only $13.95. (Mon~Fri, from 11AM to 2PM). You can taste fantastic Nepali, Indian and Tibetan foods. You can choose 2 items from the lunch special menu, and it includes a lentil soup, basmati rice, and 2 pieces of nann. (For 4 pieces of garlic nann, you need to add $2.99) I chose Saag Aloo, and Chicken Tikka Masala for entrees. Especially, Saag Aloo was really good.
Angel was awesome, very sweet and helpful and greeted us warmly guiding us to the best tables to avoid the nights cool breeze outside. This is a very cute place on the corner of the plaza with indoor and outdoor seating and a nice view across to the grassy hill and trees. Service was quick and on point our entire visit with refills, soup, entrées, and to go boxes! We got 2 chicken dishes (33 &34) and 1 Lamb dish (42) which were all tender and wonderfully seasoned and made your taste buds do a little dance, with spice levels at 2, 3, & 7! The basmati rice was light and fluffy and the garlic Naan bread was dangerously delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Went here because of the great experience we had at the Taste of Himalayas in University Ave. This branch was closer to where we are so we decided to try them. Food was alright but needs improvement, service was slow, waiters need more training, restroom was dirty. I prefer Taste of Himalayas at University Ave way better.
Very good food, service, and they are generous with the portions. We really enjoyed the saffron chicken kabob and the Mixed Momo dumplings. Also enjoyed Himalayan Biryani. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes.
